Harcol House: Unit 101 (2BD/2B with Patio)

This space exceeded our expectations! You enter the building from a discreet door and walk into a cool hallway with air conditioning, music, and a lovely aroma. It is very classy. The space itself was exactly what the pictures indicate: clean, modern, spacious, plush. We chose the downstairs because it had a small patio and it was almost like a little cocoon down there, you felt nestled within a big city. The owner is very easy to get a hold of in case you have a question, which I also really appreciated. I know we will be back and really look forward to staying here again.

We cannot say enough good things about the Harcol House. We were in NOLA for a conference which was at the Hyatt World Conference Center and there were no rooms left at the conference center which is why we ended up at the Harcol House. Thank goodness we did! It was a perfect place for us to unwind after the full days of conference and it is located in great proximity to the center. It took us about 5-10 minutes to walk to the conference center. Probably faster than it would take to go to a room in the conference hotel and back to the main floor. Even better was finding how convenient the Harcol House is to many amazing restaurants and Rouse's Market right on the corner. We didn't have a plan for restaurants but hit the jackpot with Pluck, Barrone's Bistro, Taco Del Cartel (go on a Tuesday if you can), and Dahla. So many more that we wanted to try. Being in the business district, you are not fighting the crowds of the Quarter, but within 15-20 minutes walking, we were in the heart of the Quarter. The unit we were in (101) is at the end of the main hall. Don't do what we did and miss the numbers that are illuminated outside the unit doors. They are clearly marked, just not like your standard hotel door numbers (our bad!). There is so much thought put into the details of the units. Even the smell of the Harcol House is appealing. There was jazz playing in the unit when we arrived which just made it feel so cozy and welcoming. The patio of our unit is tucked between two buildings, so it was so quiet and safe. There are no windows in the bedrooms of this unit, so we joked that we were in a vampire bubble (remember it's a renovated building). BEST SLEEP EVER!! The owners are super responsive, and I felt like I could text Brittanie anything and she would respond. We have already started thinking about coming back for a girl's trip and booking a bigger unit in the Harcol House. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
